Words don’t do it justice. A course that has to be played at least once in your life – for the history, if nothing else. A superb, sublime, and fair challenge. A caddie is highly recommended for first-timers. Brian has been a superb guide for me, both here and at the Castle Course. Other courses may be more spectacular, but teeing off in front of the R&A, hitting across the 7th fairway on 11, driving over the Old Course Hotel on the Road Hole, walking over Swilken Bridge on 18 – priceless!
