The place to stay in St Andrews. The location is perfect, of course, and the staff is most courteous. They seem to go above and beyond to make you feel special in spite of the size of the property and the sheer volume of guests they have to deal with year-round. Excellent food, a superb spa (the hotel is, after all, owned by Herb Kohler), and spectacular views over golfing heaven. And just a short walk along The Road Hole and past Swilken Bridge, and you’re in charming downtown St Andrews!
