Hogs Head Golf Club

Wow. This Robert Trent Jones II masterpiece may not be a true links, but when the wind is up it sure plays like one. Yet at the same time, one of the main design philosophies was that this should be a fun course to play. And boy does it deliver! I may not have played my best round ever, but I don’t think I ever stopped smiling. Every hole presents a new challenge, the clubhouse and grounds are immaculate, and the service is superb – with the exception of the ravens that have a penchant for stealing yellow balls. We lost one on the 4th green, but that just added to the fun. A must-play if you’re in the Waterville area.
